Each Point is a Hole.
Each Point makes a column 6 in. deep into the root zone
Mark out where you will create you 5 holes in the plant pot or hanging basket( simply insert your hole making tool until you have marked where each column will be installed.
Grab the hole-making tool and angle it at about 15 degrees from being completely upright. While pressing the tool into the soil, ensure that the top of the tool is barely visible. There's a string attached to the top of the tool, making it easy for you to pull it out of the soil. As you withdraw the tool from the soil, gently wiggle it back and forth to create a larger hole, approximately 3⁄4 inch in width. This will ensure that you'll have a column wider than the diameter of the small magnets.
Get a small disposable cup and take a knife to cut open your bag of ThirstySand/Piezoelectric sand blend and pour from the bag into the cup about 4 ounces of sand.
Take the cup of sand and start to fill the hole of the first column with 2 inches of ThirstySand/Piezoelectric sand blend using the cup in your hand with sand and pouring the sand into the hole.
Go back to your kit contents and find your cluster of small magnets. Take two of these magnets and find how they repel each other then drop the first magnet down the hole and tap it with the hole maker probe to make a snug fit.
Then take your cup of sand and fill over the top of the first magnet another 1.5 inches of ThirstySand/Piezoelectric sand blend.
Then install the second magnet into the column with the repelling side facing the first magnet (you want to feel the repulsion force as this is what makes the squeeze in the Pizoelectric sand). Tap the second magnet with the hole maker probe to make a snug fit.
Then take your cup of sand and fill the balance of the column with more ThirstySand/Piezoelectric sand blend until you have about 1⁄2 inch of column to fill. Then take your existing potting soil to cover over the top of the ThirstySand/Piezoelectric sand column.
You now have created one column. Please repeat this process 4 more times to create a 5 columns equidistant around the root zone. After all columns are built in the root zone you have one last step.
Take your compass and find North. Install the Lahkovsky Ring inside the pot or basket and allow the open end of the Lahkovsky Ring to be facing North. If you do not want to see the Lahkovsky Ring then you can take potting soil and cover it over so it is not visible. The ring does not need to touch the other side of the wire – it works better as an open ring.
Water your plant as you would normally and now you can sit back and take a photo of today’s plant as it looks now. Take a photo every 3 days until your plant has turned into your most prized plant. Send us photos of your plants after a month of images. We will post your images on our sister website which will allow you to create your own blog and how you can also become a plant mentor to others growing their prize plants.
